Juxta Digital Launches Bookjobs.com For The Association Of American Publishers

New York, Monday, November 17, 2003 –

Juxta Digital has developed Bookjobs.com, a job-search and publishing information website for the Association of American Publishers (AAP).

Bookjobs.com promotes careers in publishing to college students from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. In addition to a central repository of publishing internships and positions, the site features AAP member profiles, information on publishing programs and intensive training courses, publishing organizations, industry events, a guide to matching college majors with publishing departments, a glossary of publishing terms, and success stories and testimonials.

Juxta Digital provided an original web design that incorporates book jacket art, relevant quotes, college-friendly faces, and easy access to publishing information. Job listings, events, and information pages are handled by Synopsa, Juxta's content management system. In addition, the site includes extranet functionality that allows the more than two hundred AAP publisher members to manage their job and internship listings, and company profiles.

We've really enjoyed working with the AAP team, says Juxta co-founder, Michael Sutula. We’re confident that Bookjobs.com will help to attract a diverse group of talented students to the publishing industry.

The Bookjobs site is in the final testing stages and will be promoted as a resource to colleges in early 2004.
