St. Joseph's College Relaunches Website With Synopsa(tm)
New York, Thursday, October 7, 2004 –
Juxta Digital, a new-media consultancy specializing in publishing, education, and entertainment, announced today the re-launch of the St Joseph’s College website (http://www.sjcny.edu), which it recently redesigned and integrated with its web content management system, Synopsa.
Working closely with Communications and Marketing personnel, Juxta Digital created a design that closely adheres to a look and feel recently developed for St. Joseph's print brand, and that also works in a sophisticated, interactive fashion to promote the college to current and prospective students, alumni, parents and faculty. The Synopsa system allowed Juxta to quickly develop a site that both appeals to front end users by providing colorful photographs and easy access to critical content, and is also easy for St. Joseph's personnel to update and maintain.
Synopsa provides complete content management capability, as well as some custom features specifically designed for the college. For instance, St. Joseph’s uses Synopsa to share content between its Brooklyn and Patchogue campuses so that campus icons appear automatically next to relevant content. With Synopsa in place, the Webmaster for St. Joseph’s was able to upload and create over 800 pages for both campuses in a little over three weeks.
"The great thing about Juxta is that they worked quickly and delivered quickly," says Keith Redo, St. Joseph's new Webmaster. "Synopsa is intuitive, eases development time, and makes it so much easier to develop web site content. I have worked closely with their top associates for the duration of this project and they’ve been nothing but great with me. They were always 'in the foxhole' with me, as this project began to take on legs and grow and grow."
"We love working with colleges and diverse groups like St. Joseph's," says Juxta partner Michael Sutula. "It was a real pleasure to help them address their marketing needs with the new site. The whole team was great to work with, and this large and comprehensive site came together quickly."
Juxta Digital's other education experience includes working with Columbia University’s School of Continuing Education to bring their IT Alumni a site for networking and job postings. Juxta is also using Synopsa to develop a new website for Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Virginia.
