www.poets.org • WAP-Compatible Format • Content Management • Events Management • Highly Contextualized • Integrated Audio Player • E-Commerce • Ad Management • Discusssion Forums • Notebooks Challenge: Juxta Digital redesigned the Academy of American Poets website in 2004, using our content management system to provide categorized links and content for their database of over 6000 poems and authors; since then Poets.org has been featured in USA Today and gained wide acclaim. Recently, the Academy wanted to make a new splash by making their vast catalogue of poetry available to iPhone and mobile phone users. Solution: Juxta Digital developed a mobile platform for exporting the Academy’s poetry content from our content management system to a WAP compatible format, allowing mobile form users to search and browse for poems through a variety of means. Now, in addition to an acclaimed website with personal notebooks, online shopping, poetry discussion forums, and multiple ways of searching for poems and authors, there’s a new way to search the Academy website: on your phone. We did it by building upon the technology already in place, allowing the Academy to make a big splash without spending big bucks.
