The site design and layout was also confusing to users, with too many links and not enough organization. Additionally, the site needed more useful features such as a shopping cart and up-to-date lists of classes and volunteering opportunities. Solution: In redesigning the site, Juxta carefully studied two main marketing goals: 1) achieving an appropriate and consistent marketing message for the ARCGNY audience and 2) more effectively guiding users to key services. The new site incorporates ARCGNY’s current print and offline imagery in a bold and dramatic way. The key services have been digested into main sections promoted on the homepage that suggest activities to users, and other text and advertising clutter has been eliminated. New functions on the site allow a single webmaster to quickly update and publish content; the new e-commerce system processes donations as well as purchased items; and other information such as classes or donations are more efficiently processed from internal databases directly into the website. |
